How do you say, Texas?

So tonight at dinner, our chatter box daughter got excited talking about going back to school tomorrow. She proceeded to talk about her school in "Tescas." We tried and tried to politely correct her, and walk her through saying it correctly. After several attempts and frustrating faces, she busted out with this. Mom-Dad, "Do you remember when I went to school in the United States?" We laughed, but she was serious. We told her that Texas was easier to say than saying United States. She did not believe us, so it stands not as Texas, but as Tescas.
